Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is not serious
Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that the injury to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t serious enough.
Ronaldo who had suffered a back injury during Real Madrid’s clash with Atletico Madrid in Tuesday night’s Super Cup, has been struggling with injury woes since last season. Ancelotti also confirmed that Ronaldo will be undergoing tests. The Portuguese footballer was seen holding his back in pain after suffering an injury in the match against Atletico Madrid.
Talking to reporters in his post-match conference, Ancelotti said, “He felt something and was uncomfortable. We’ll evaluate it tomorrow, he’ll undergo all the checks and we’ll see what it is. It doesn’t seem to be anything serious.”
The £60 million star who was bought from Monaco, James Rodriguez who replaced Ronaldo at half time scored his first goal but sooner the equaliser was put in by Raul Garcia for Atletico.
"Cristiano felt something during the game," Rodriguez was quoted by the Guardian afterwards. "We hope it's nothing serious."
