Arsenal

Welbeck's goal provided Arsenal much-needed breathing space

Petr Cech - 5/10

Cech made an excellent first save off Kirill Nababkin's header but couldn't prevent Fedor Chalov from scoring off the rebound. Other than conceding the two goals, the former Chelsea goalkeeper had a very mediocre game as his passing was also not on point.

Hector Bellerin - 6/10

Bellerin had a very little contribution in attack but he did his job defensively making the important last-ditch tackles and clearances

Shkodran Mustafi - 7/10

It was a busy night for Arsenal's centre-back duo but Mustafi did continue his recent run of form especially making eight clearances.

Laurent Koscielny - 8/10

Koscielny fluffed his shot on his attempt at a half-volley from a resulting set-piece when Arsenal was down by two goals. The veteran defender competed well against the CSKA attacking force making five interceptions and winning five headers respectively.

Nacho Monreal - 6/10

Just like his Spanish compatriot, Monreal was also required to do the majority of the work on the defence. However, he did attempt eight long balls but only two of them proved to be successful.

Mohamed Elneny - 8/10

Elneny was one of Arsenal's best players on the night as he got two assists. Firstly, he set up a beautiful through pass to Danny Welbeck for Arsenal's first goal of the game. Late in stoppage time, he set Aaron Ramsey through for the equalizer.

Jack Wilshere - 6/10

Wilshere did not create anything significant going forward. He was substituted in the 68th minute as he possibly could have hurt his ankle.

Aaron Ramsey - 7/10

Ramsey scored his fourth goal of the Europa League and more importantly Arsenal's second goal of the second leg as he had no problems finishing off his one on one chance against Akinfeev.

Mesut Ozil - 7/10

Ozil had a decent game and could have gotten an assist had Alex Iwobi as the pass was set up perfectly for him. Statistically, the German had 72 touches in the game, contributing with four key passes and two successful crosses along with a pass completion rate of 80%.

Danny Welbeck - 7/10

Welbeck filled in for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and scored one of the most important goals of the season to extend Arsenal's lead to 5-3 lead on aggregate and more importantly give his team a sigh of relief.

Alexandre Lacazette - 5/10

The Frenchman had a great opportunity to make his case in the absence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but he put in another disappointing performance away from home. Lacazette could only register two shots with none of them being on target and did not comply well with the service he received winning just one header before being taken off in the 68th minute.

Substitutes

Calum Chambers - 5/10

Replaced Jack Wilshere in the 68th minute to provide additional defensive cover against an attacking CSKA Moscow side.

Alex Iwobi - N/A

Came on for Lacazette in the 76th minute. Had an excellent chance to equalize for the Gunners late on but he failed miserably as his left-footed effort went wayward.
