As always, we summarise the best news in our roundup. Let’s head straight in.

Manchester United and Spurs vying to sign Mertens

Belgian forward Dries Mertens has attracted considerable interest after his improved performances for Napoli this season. Mertens has scored 21 goals in 29 appearances for the Naples side this season including five in the Champions League and according to reports from DH, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the forward.

However, it looks as though Napoli will battle to keep their star man after agreeing to match his reported £2.5 million wages offered by the English clubs. Although no deal has been struck at the moment, the race is on for his signature.

PSG could table a bid for Ozil in the near future to tempt the German playmaker to Ligue 1. However, it could take the German some convincing even though he is nearing the end of his contract.
