Manchester United dealt blow in Griezmann chase

Antoine Griezmann has confirmed that he is not eying a summer move to Manchester United to achieve the next level in his career, according to reports from Daily Star. Speaking with Spanish media, Griezmann said: “I had some doubts [about my future at Atletico Madrid] last summer when there were reports Simeone could leave,” Griezmann said.

“I called him and he told me that he would stay. So I stayed as well. I have a lot of respect for him and feel that he believes in me. I need to stay with him and work for him a bit more. But that does not necessarily mean I would follow him if he leaves Atletico.”

Klopp to bid £25million for Dahoud

Reports in Germany claim Jurgen Klopp is ready to step up his interest in Mahmoud Dahoud after losing out on the player last summer. A £25million bid is seen as the value which will prise away the highly rated midfielder from the Bundesliga club.

However, contrary to reports, the German club’s sporting director Max Eberl told Kicker earlier this month that there is a zero per cent chance that Mahmoud will leave in January. He said: “There is no offer for him on the table from any club and we have not had any offers for him in the past either.”
