Former AC Milan boss Siniša Mihajlovi, in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, has claimed Chelsea tried to sign Alessio Romagnoli during the summer transfer window. As per the reports, Blues made two concrete bids for the central defender but could not meet AC Milan’s asking price. In the end, Blues went ahead and signed David Luiz from PSG.
Juventus not giving up on Alexis just yet
According to Gazzetta, Juventus are keeping a close eye on Alexis Sanchez’s contract talks with Arsenal which has hit a snag. Liverpool are lining up a January move to sign Quincy Promes from Spartak Moscow, according to reports from British media. The reports claim that Klopp does not want to let Liverpool’s energy dip when Sadio Mane leaves the club in January for African cup of nations. Promes is seen as a player with similar abilities to that of Mane and could make an instant impact at Anfield like Mane. A 20million January bid is expected to follow after strong rumours linking the 25-year-old winger with a move to Anfield.
