Marseille eyeing Nacho Monreal and Alberto Moreno to address left-back problems

According to France Football, Ligue 1 giants Marseille are looking for defensive reinforcements in January and are eyeing up a move for Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal. Marseille have been struggling domestically and have already conceded 25 goals from 16 games and are in desperate need of reinforcements to their backline.

They have thus identified the Gunners' Monreal and Liverpool's Alberto Moreno as potential transfer targets. Monreal was Arsenal's first-choice left-back this season before the Spaniard picked up a hamstring injury. He has now fallen down the pecking order and Sead Kolasinac has taken over for Arsenal in the left-back role.

At the same time, Alberto Moreno is in the doghouse at Liverpool and is playing second fiddle to the impressive Andy Robertson. After having played only 2 games in the Premier League, Klopp would find it difficult to hold on to the Spaniard if he wishes to leave.
