Manchester United will make a £24 million bid in order to lure Ilkay Gundogan away from Borussia Dortmund (Metro). The box to box midfielder has returned to training from a lengthy injury layoff and United are ready to splash the cash as they look to rescue their season.

Arsenal look set to pip Manchester United for the signature of Real Sociedad’s Antoine Griezmann (Express). The London club have apparently been told by Sociedad that they will have to match Griezmann’s £25m buyout clause to have any chance of signing the Frenchman.

Chelsea’s Kevin de Bruyne continues to edge closer to a move to Wolfsburg (InsideFutbol). The Belgium attacking midfielder has been on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge and is reportedly keen on signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with Wolfsburg.

Manchester United have been handed a boost in their chase of Fabio Coentrao (SportsDirectNews). Real Madrid could sell the Portuguese left-back if they succeed in signing Japanese defender Yuto Nagatomo from Inter Milan.

Arsenal have opened talks with Lyon for long-term target Yoann Gourcuff (GiveMeSport). Lyon, who are currently in financial turmoil, are keen to offload a high-earning star in the near future.
