Daniel Alves puts down rumours linking him to a move away from Barcelona

Radio Marca reported that Daniel Alves of Barcelona had signed a lucrative 3-year deal worth 9 million euros per season with French footballing giants, Paris Saint Germain. This did not come as a surprise to many people as Alves’ contract is up at the end of this season, and despite Alves and his agent putting pressure on Barcelona, the club has not approached Alves for contract renewal. Alves went to Paris during his days off and he posted a picture with his friends from the French capital.

Sources close to Alves said that he was in advanced talks to sign for another team. The player could start negotiating with other clubs since the beginning of the new year.

Alves’ agent denied that such a deal, which would take Alves back to his former teammates – Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maxwell – along with his Brazilian teammates, Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Lucas Moura, had ever been made but the speculations continued.

But, that was until the right back took everything into his own hands and posted this on Instagram putting an end to all the rumours:

Daniel Alves’ fitting reply to the media

Translation: Do you really believe what you are saying? I'm quite tired of hearing stupid people publishing such s--t... I love this club for what I lived and for what I still have to live here, but if some day I have to leave I will bust my balls —the same way as I did to arrive here— to tell you by myself. I don't need any stupid to talk for me.
