Atletico Madrid forward has divulged that he was almost close to joining Liverpool during the transfer window but he chose to stay back at Atletico.
The reds from Anfield were very interested in signing the 24-year-old but the player decided to stick with his club and pay homage for their trust in him.
Liverpool had bid for the player on several occasions but the deal never came through. The Brazilian wants to work under Diego Simeone for a couple more seasons.
