Diego Costa: I take a beating constantly, just like in Spain, I'm not complaining

Costa talks about the physical side of the game

Diego Costa has been making some headlines this week with his withdrawal from international duty with Spain but HAS been talking about life in the Premier League.

As we know by the coverage certain incidents have had lately, Costa has set the Premier League alight for his goals but also because of the way he plays the game - I love him for it!

So, to this week and Costa was asked of the difference between playing his football in La Liga and in the Premier League and he said:

“I take a beating constantly, just like in Spain. But I’m not complaining. They go in hard, but also you don’t get the free-kicks you do in Spain. Sometimes defenders try to target me and put me off my game, but my self-control is getting better and I just try to do my thing.”

Despite all the "battles" he has had this season so far, Costa remains the Premier League's leading scorer with nineteen goals which is staggering considering that for most, the opinion is that it takes foreign players a while to come in and adapt to our game.

If you haven't noticed by now, Diego Costa seems to thrive on it!
