Borussia Dortmund have dealt Chelsea a blow with the news that they have blocked any move for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Express.

Chelsea are in desperate need of reinforcements up-front and they have already begun reinforcements by agreeing a deal for Diego Costa, however, Jose Mourinho is not done and wants to bring in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon international signed for Dortmund last summer, however, he has been deployed mostly out of position on the wing. He has managed to score 13 league goals, but there were reports Aubameyang was planning for pastures new in the summer.

However, CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke will not allow Aubameyang follow fellow strike partner Robert Lewandowski out of the club and insists the former St.Etienne man will stay in Germany this summer.

He said: “Why should he be leaving? He has just played here for one season.

“We did not believe he would be put up (in the team) from the start in every match for our club.

“We have an immense competition for places in the first team, this was impossible for him.

“We are content with Aubameyang, he has a contract left at our club.”

A massive 12 of Aubameyang’s 13 league goals have come inside the opposition penalty area.
