Chelsea have been given some good news after Eden Hazard has denied claims that he is closing in on a move to Madrid. The 25-year-old hasn’t’ had the best of seasons and was also reported to be unhappy at the club.

But when asked about the links to Madrid on Belgian news channel ACTV he said, “Have I signed for Real Madrid? No, that isn’t true; I don’t know where that has come from.” Hazard was last year’s PFA player of the year but this season he hasn’t managed a single goal in the Premier League.

Despite his woeful record, there is no denying his quality and he should be back to his best next season. With that in mind, Chelsea fans would probably still want the winger to be part of their squad next season.

Hazard emphasized on the same fact that he is currently still with the club.“For the moment I’m at Chelsea. I have to finish this season and then I have four more years on my contract. For now I’m here and the only thing I want is to get back onto the pitch as soon as possible.”

The Belgian is currently out with a hip injury and has just returned to training. The Blues are entering the last few games of the season and will be hoping to finish as high as possible.

Guus Hiddink will hope he will have his star fit for the run in and will be aiming for the European places. Hazard is also eager to return to action saying, “I’m ok, I’ve been training for the last three days. I’ve pushed myself but I hope to be ready for the games that are coming up. I’m impatient to get back.”

Antonio Conte announced as new Chelsea manager

With Guus Hiddink only here until the end of the season Italian manager Antonio Conte has been named as the next Chelsea manager. The current coach of the Italian National team has good experience in managing big teams and has won the Scudetto with Juventus three times in a row.

“I am very excited about the prospect of working at Chelsea Football Club. I am proud to be the coach of the national team of my country and only a role as attractive as manager of Chelsea could follow that” he said on Chelsea official website.
