Benoit Assou-Ekotto was involved in an embarrassing incident during Cameroon’s horrific defeat against Croatia in the World Cup, which they lost 4-0 to all but end their campaign in Brazil.
Cameroon were reduced to ten men in the clash against the European giants and with the score at 1-0, it proved an up-hill task for them to get back into the clash.
Croatia put them to the sword and added another three goals to boost their goal difference and their chances of making the final 16.
After Song was sent off for Cameroon, the last thing the home faithful would have liked to see would have been the incident involved Benoit Assou-Ekotto and his team-mate, Benjamin Moukandjo.
The pair were caught on camera arguing and Assou-Ekotto remarkably aimed a head-butt at his Cameroonian team-mate which could have easily seen him sent off if the referee had seen it.
