Benoit Assou-Ekotto: A Brief Biography

Benoît Pierre David Assou-Ekotto is a football player who plays as a defender for Tottenham Hotspur. He is popular for his forthright social commentary. His brother Mathieu Assou-Ekotto is the fellow professional football player. Assou started playing football at the age of ten joined with Lens where he improved himself and played 66 matches in Ligue 1 for Lens. After having outstanding performances for Lens he moved to the club Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee in the year 2006. However, during a knee injury he lost his first team of his place and played just two games around the entire season 2007-08. Thereafter at the start of the season 2008-09 Tottenham made their amiss ever start to a campaign since 1912 , loss six of their opening eight games along with Benoît was rewarded for his impressive form with a four year contract extension. Furthermore he made his debut for Cameroon against Guinea as well as he also played the in Cameroon\'s 1–0 surprise World Cup qualifying in March 2009.
