EPL 2016-17 confirmed transfer: Tottenham Hotspur announce the signing of Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of 22-year-old striker Vincent Janssen from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar beating the likes of French giants Paris St. Germain and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg to his signature. The Dutchman has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the North London outfit, however, details of the transfer fee has not yet been disclosed,

The youngster had a fantastic season in the Eredivisie scoring twenty-seven goals for his team in the 2015-16 season. His performances earned him The Johan Cruyff trophy which is awarded to the best young player of the season. He also made his debut for the Dutch against England during a friendly in March and scored a penalty. He has since played four more games for his country scoring two more goals in the process.

The youngster is known for his finishing, strength, pace and positioning in the final third and is ambidextrous with his feet. He has been compared with Dutch legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy on many occasions. The 22-year-old is the youngest player since Brazilian great Luis Ronaldo to score more than 25 goals in the Eredivisie.
