Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has launched a stellar investigation to find the exact source of leaks from his dressing room prior to key matches. According to The Sun, a United fans is constantly getting vital team news ahead of the games which has infuriated Mourinho.

The Sun were aware of United’s lineup a day in advance of their Europa League clash against Zorya Luhansk. The source confirmed 10 of the 11 players in United’s starting XI. However, The Sun have confirmed that the trend has continued in recent weeks as well.

The source has also confirmed that Mourinho is fuming with the leaks coming out of the dressing room and is desperate to find the source of these leaks. The Sun have the direct quotes about a witch hunt in place at Old Trafford which read: “Mourinho is spitting feathers after discovering he’s being betrayed by someone within the club," the source revealed.

“This sort of information is gold dust for opposition managers and gamblers.”

Mourinho faced similar problems at Chelsea

One of the reasons why Mourinho suffered a horror season at Chelsea last year was a similar kind of problem where the Special One accused some of his players of leaking key information which resulted in awful performances from the Blues and eventually Mourinho getting sacked later on in the season.

Since then Mourinho was snapped by Manchester United with hopes of reviving their recent struggles but United have continued to find it difficult to win matches and are currently ranked 6th in the league table.

Should Man United fans be worried?

While the issue may sound grave and too big to handle but a large part of the chatter is created by a source which is only known to British newspaper The Sun. Nothing concrete has come out of the reports and since then we have seen senior players like Michael Carrick, Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia speak in support of their manager.

Although results have eluded The Red Devils but United have played well in recent weeks and it does feel like Mourinho is finally beginning to get his team selection right and things could get only better in coming weeks. Man United fans need to continue being patient with their manager and hope for better days to follow after a rather torrid 36 months since Sir Alex Ferguson’s unexpected retirement.
