Jose Mourinho has again bemoaned the fixture pile up, as Manchester United face some important fixtures in the next few weeks. United face three games in six days next week with visits to Liverpool and Chelsea along with a Europa League game against Fenerbahce sandwiched in between.

Mourinho termed these games as a 'poisoned gift' as he rued the lack of help in Europe from the FA.

Jose Mourinho has a huge decision to make as United play Liverpool next Monday and then a crucial Europa League game against Fenerbahce. Then, on Sunday, Mourinho's men visit Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea and the former Blues manager must decide whether to rest senior players for Europe or not.

United cannot afford to drop points against their title rivals after already losing out to Man City.

Mourinho said, “We have to play seriously in the Europa League. We could play Liverpool on Saturday or Sunday. We play Liverpool on Monday. We don’t have the best conditions because we play against two top Premier League teams who don’t have European competition. We have this poisoned gift with playing on Monday which gives us a very difficult situation but we want to try to carry on in the competition.”

He continued, “I think it’s impossible, the poisoned gift is already there. We just have to play Monday, Thursday and then the Sunday.”

United narrowly emerged victorious yesterday against Zorya Luhansk 1-0 after Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a header in the 69th minute. United had just two shots on target, even though Mourinho fielded a pretty strong side against the Ukrainian minnows.

Wayne Rooney provided the assist for Ibrahimovic’s strike as his scuffed shot fell easily for the Swede.

Jose Mourinho was also involved in a heated conversation with his assistants Rui Faria and Giovanni Cerra.

It was later revealed that it was a case of a mixup of infographics by Cerra as he provided the wrong information to Paul Pogba as the Frenchman looked confused on the touchline.

United next welcome Stoke City, who are struggling at the bottom of the league table, and drew their last game against West Bromwich Albion.
