Marouane Fellaini admits that Manchester United are going through "a little crisis" after 3 successive defeats last week.

Jose Mourinho started his United campaign with victories in the Community Shield and consecutive 3 Premier League wins. However, this storming start to the season has come to an abrupt end as defeats to Watford on Sunday and Feyenoord midweek are raising questions regarding consistency.

Jose Mourinho came second best in the Manchester derby as well and has admitted of his players feeling the pressure of playing for a huge club like United. This is the first time the Portuguese has lost three successive games as a manager.

Fellaini and others had a terrible afternoon at Watford and their defence was lacking leadership as United went down 3-1. The Belgian had a sub-par performance as well as he gave away a penalty on the dying minutes of the game.

French TV station SFR Sport reported Marouane Fellaini saying, "We can say it's a little crisis because a club like Manchester United cannot lose three games. Yes, it's low, but we are men and we must stand up together and show ourselves.”

Fellaini insists that his team must take the pressure in a positive manner and put an impressive display against Northampton in the EFL Cup.

The Belgian added, "To lose was a tough moment, but we must be ready to go again on Wednesday. We need to focus. At the moment heads are down but, as I said, we must stand together and fight and show that we are confident.”

Fellaini says the players are looking forward to end their losing streak and make some momentum with the win this Wednesday in the EFL cup.

Regarding his manager’s approach, Fellaini said, "At half-time, the manager told us to come out and play with confidence and we did that by grabbing the goal. We played with tempo and we need to start doing that from the first minute."

Jose Mourinho claimed bad refereeing decisions as the reasons behind the defeats but also agreed upon the lack of self- confidence in his players as United lost the game even after pulling it back to level terms midway through the second half.
