Joe Hart faces a big question mark over his future as Pep Guardiola has gone on record to say that he will no come in the way of England's no.1 if he chooses to leave. Dropping Joe Hart from the starting lineup can be said as the first big change that the Spanish has gone on to make during his first few months at Manchester City.

Willy Cabellero has played the two games under the Spanish boss as Hart has had to endure time on the bench as he could not impress the 45-year-old.

Speaking ahead of City's visit to Stoke City, Guardiola said, "I want happiness for the players. I don't want players to stay here if they don't want to. All the players here have a contract. If they decide they want to stay they are going to stay. I spoke with them all. They all know exactly what the situation is. If they want to stay, stay and we will fight together. If they want to leave because they prefer to play every game.”

The manager did ensure that this situation is the same for all the players in the team and added, “I am not speaking about Joe, I am speaking about all the players at the club - I want to live, I want to work, I want to stay with the players who want to stay. That is no doubt."

Guardiola needs a ball-playing sweeper keeper and added, "I spoke with Joe from the first moment we met in China. I try to be clear with my players and I was clear with him. I have a lot of respect about him as a person and a goalkeeper. I know his value and I know his talent. I was clear with what I was looking for. I am here at Manchester City because they contacted me to play the way I like, the way I grew up. Maybe Joe will stay here and be a player who will fight with the other goalkeepers to convince me to play him. It’s simple like that. He knows from the beginning what I feel and what is the situation."

But, Guardiola has not totally given up on the 29-year-old as he has stated that, “I said to him on the first morning that if he stays he is going to improve and he is going to understand what we want from our goalkeeper."

This should be the perfect sign for Ronald Koeman as the new manager of Everton has been on the lookout for a goalkeeper. A loan term could be finalised for Joe Hart as City is expected to sign Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo before the end of the transfer window.
