Austria

Robert Almer – 8/10

The 32-year-old was the Austrian hero of the game as he made a string of impressive saves to ensure that Marcel Koller’s side came out of the match with a point. In one of the best goalkeeping displays of the ongoing tournament the Austria Wien shot-stopper denied Ronaldo and Nani on numerous occasions.

Florian Klein – 6.5/10

Was handed the herculean task of marking Cristiano Ronaldo, but he came out with flying colours as the three-time Ballon d’Or winner was stifled of space.

Sebastian Prödl – 6/10

Came on to replace the suspended Dragovic in the starting line-up and was probably too eager to make an impression on his coach. His decision-making was questionable at times but improved as the game progressed.

Martin Hinteregger – 5/10

For all his solid defending in the first-half, the 23-year-old conceded the penalty for a foul on Ronaldo and if not for the poor afternoon that the striker was having, it could have resulted in a loss for Austria.

Christian Fuchs – 5/10

The Austrian captain struggled to cope up against Quaresma and also didn’t contribute much offensively. Overall a very disappointing game for the Leicester City man.

Stefan Ilsanker – 6/10

Shielded the back four alongside his midfield partner and even forced Patricio into making a good save, but couldn’t dominate the game in midfield.

Julian Baumgartlinger – 6.5/10

Restricted the influence Moutinho and Gomes had on the game despite conceding a few unnecessary free-kicks. Denied the space to Portuguese players to have a telling impact on the game.

Marcel Sabitzer – 5/10

Was handed a starting berth after impressing with his cameo in the first game but couldn’t make the most of his opportunity and had a disappointing game.

David Alaba – 3.5/10

A listless display from the 23-year-old after he was asked to do the playmaking duties for his team. The Bayern Munich man, who is considered one of the most complete players in the game, was largely ineffective and only ever threatened once with a dangerous free-kick.

Marko Arnautovic – 4/10

The Stoke City forward cut a forlorn figure and had minimal impact on the game as he was deprived of the service that he thrives on.

Martin Harnik – 5/10

Threatened with his aerial prowess but couldn’t make the decisive impact in the absence of much support from his teammates.

Came on to replace a struggling Alaba in the 65th minute, but didn’t do anything significant in his 25 minutes on the pitch.

Lukas Hinterseer – N/A

Replaced Sabitzer in the 85th minute, didn’t have enough time to make an impact.
