Euro2012: Italy name final 23 players squad

Italy have named their 23 players squad ahead of the 2012 European Championships. Italy have been drawn in Group C along with defending champions Spain, Ireland and Croatia. Coach Cesare Prandelli left out Andrea Ranocchia (Internazionale Milan), Salvatore Bocchetti (Rubin Kazan) and Domenico Criscito (Zenit Saint Petersburg) due to different reasons. The case of Criscito is especially difficult for Prandelli. The player is said to be involved in match fixing. The Italian police even checked his room at the Italy camp and was then released ahead of the tournament.
