FA Cup
The ties for the quarter-finals have been decided

The Quarter-final draw took place on Sunday at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea’s 5-1 win over Manchester City. With only Manchester United left to play Shrewsbury town on Monday night, the ties for the last eight were decided.

The pick of the draws is Chelsea’s as they will have to travel to Everton after their win against Bournemouth on Saturday. The Blues were uncompromising against a much-changed City lineup which included five debutants.

The London side fielded a strong lineup and it showed as Chelsea ran riot against an inexperienced City team. Chelsea now face another tough challenge as they have been handed an away tie against an ever improving Everton.

Arsenal were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw at the Emirates against Hull City. They will now have to play the replay at the KC stadium The winner of the two will play Watford in the next round who edged out Leeds United 1-0.

The holders will still be considered as the favourites to progress into the quarter-finals and will be happy with the draw having escaped the prospect of facing the Premier League big boys

West Ham also sailed through after dismantling Blackburn Rovers 5-1. Dimitri Payet once again showed his class with a brace. The Hammers will face the winner of Monday night’s game which might mean a trip to Old Trafford.

United are not in good form at the moment but are still expected to go through against League one minnows Shrewsbury town

The other ties sees Crystal Palace pitted against Reading after knocking out Tottenham Hotspur earlier today. Spurs who were heavily fancied to win art home were dumped out of the cup after Martin Kelly scored the winning goal for Crystal Palace. The Eagles will play the only Championship side left in the competition and have history on their side when it comes to Reading.
