Fake FB Wall: Cristiano Ronaldo fails in attempt to explain why he didn't celebrate Arbeloa's goal

Cristiano Ronaldo expresses his frustration after missing out on a goal during Real Madrid’s 3-0 win against Almeria

Cristiano Ronaldo is a hungry man. Hungry for goals, accolades and anything that is achievable for the Real Madrid forward. His competitive nature, however, has drawn criticism towards Ronaldo, with many accusing him of being self-centered.

Real Madrid full back Álvaro Arbeloa scored his first goal in five years against Almeria last night in what was an easy tap-in for both the right back and Ronaldo, and that didn’t seem to sit well with the Ballon d’Or winner.

Soon the world of social media had to intervene, and the reaction wasn’t very complimentary for Ronaldo.

In case you missed the incident, here it is again.

Not surprisingly, Ronaldo took to his Facebook page to express what he thought about the incident.

Things escalated quickly after that.

Perhaps the only silver lining that we can take away from the whole episode is that Luis Nani and Arbeloa bonded over a common interest; the interest of not letting Ronaldo score.

The remarkable player that is Nani disallowed Ronaldo’s great goal during Portugal’s 4-0 win over then-world champions Spain back in 2010, and since Arbeloa's attempt to take in Ronaldo’s share of goal, the two seem to have grown closer. Mutual interest does bring people close.
