Fantasy Premier League: 5 must-have players for Gameweek 36

Gameweek 32 is here!
3 more weeks left!

The season is nearing its culmination and we have just three weeks left in Fantasy Premier League for managers to climb up the rankings.

After a reduced gameweek 35 saw one of the lowest average points scored by managers all season, it is now time to turn our attention to week 36, also keeping in mind the fact that week 37 is a double gameweek.

This is a perfect week for managers who have their bench boost chip intact as they can play their wildcard this week to select a large number of players who play twice in week 37 and can activate the bench boost chip next week.

Here, we will be looking at 5 players who have to be picked this week, keeping an eye out for week 37 as well.

#5 Davinson Sanchez (Tottenham Hotspur)

Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League
A future star?

One of the signings of the season, Davinson Sanchez has been an absolute find for Spurs. He was signed from Ajax ahead of the season and he has been so impressive this term that he has managed to keep Toby Alderweireld out of the team when the latter returned from injury.

Spurs have some tasty fixtures coming up and they will be looking to strengthen their top-four credentials and ward off a late surge from Chelsea. They play Watford at home this week, followed by matches against West Brom and Newcastle in gameweek 37.

We can expect Spurs to keep clean sheets in those games and Sanchez will have to play his part. He has 11 clean sheets to his name and has racked up 89 points this season.

Furthermore, he is owned by a paltry 1.1% managers, making him a good differential pick as well.

#4 Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)

Leicester City v Southampton - Premier League
In form
!

There are not many forwards in England better than Jamie Vardy when he is on the top of his game. And if his recent exploits are taken into consideration, he is hitting top form as we head into the end of the season.

The striker has scored 8 goals in his last 11 games and Leicester have a good set of games coming up as well.

They travel to Crystal Palace this week - Palace have kept only 2 clean sheets in their last 12 matches - before hosting West Ham and Arsenal in week 37.

Leicester City have made a habit of finishing the season strongly and we can hope for a major return from The Foxes' main man.

#3 Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)

Manchester City v Swansea City - Premier League
A must!

Raheem Sterling is a player who has raised his game to a whole new level this year.

He is the second-highest scoring midfielder in the game, only behind Mohamed Salah, and has amassed 18 goals, 14 assists and 211 points this season.

He is also in excellent form heading into the game at West Ham, having scored an incredible 38 points in his last 5 outings.

After travelling to London in week 36, City have two extremely easy home games against Huddersfield and Brighton which, on paper, look likely to be games in which they will run riot.

#2 David de Gea (Manchester United)

Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League
Golden Glove beckons!

The superlatives used to describe this man do not come to an end. De Gea has been wowing us all with his brilliance between the sticks for quite a while, saving United's inconsistent defenders from criticism and also saving us, fantasy managers, with his steady returns.

The Spaniard is the highest-scoring goalkeeper (in terms of points) and is also leading the race for the Golden Glove this season, having kept 17 clean sheets.

He faces a visit from Arsenal, who are likely to field a second-string eleven due to their involvement in the UEFA Europa League, on Sunday, and then plays against Brighton and West Ham in week 37.

The defenders in front of him might be rotated and with United's inclination to keep a clean sheet, having de Gea in the team is imperative.

#1 Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Brighton and Hove Albion v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League
Kane can explode!

The No.1 pick is none other than Harry Kane. After returning from injury, he has been determined to win the Golden Boot for the third year in a row and catch Salah, who has five more goals than him at the moment.

Kane is the highest scoring forward this season and has amassed a whopping 191 points this term. Despite not being in the best of form following his return, Spurs will be banking on Kane's brilliance as they look to cement their top-four position.

As mentioned earlier, Spurs have really easy fixtures against Watford, West Ham and Newcastle coming up and we are due a major explosion from Kane who has a reputation of scoring an incredibly large number of points, totally out of the blue.

He is a good choice for captain as well for the coming weeks and his high ownership of 32.2% means that in case you don't have him and he scores big, your overall ranking will fall drastically. So, all aboard the Harry Kane train!
