FC Barcelona preparing a team for the future

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's latest transfer news and rumours roundup. Today's stories feature the latest update on some of the major happenings in world football which may change the complexion of a few clubs. So let's head right in and take a look at the major happenings across Europe that made headlines on October 5, 2017:

La Liga

FC Barcelona linked to Julian Brandt

Marca has claimed that FC Barcelona are monitoring the situation of Julian Brandt at Bayer Leverkusen. The Catalans are looking for a wide player to fill the void created by Neymar's departure with the Barcelona board looking for options to complement Ousmane Dembele. Brandt has been linked with Liverpool in the past with the 21-year-old being considered as the future of German football. He is valued at around €70 by Leverkusen and may find the attraction of playing for FC Barcelona too good to turn down.

Harry Kane open for a move to Real Madrid

After reports emerging of the European champions preparing a €200 million bid for Premier League's most in-form striker, Harry Kane, the Englishman has now given his view on the interest from Spain. During England's press conference, Kane said, "I would never say no or yes. You'd not rule out anything. It's not something I definitely want to do, but you never rule anything out. I'm very happy here at Tottenham but we'll see what happens." This statement must have rung alarm bells at the Spurs headquarters.
