Manchester United sent scouts over to Spain to watch Atletico Madrid’s Filipe Luis, according to Mark Ogden of The Telegraph. The reporter tweeted last night that United had scouts in Spain to take a casting eye over the highly-rated left-back during Atletico’s 4-2 win over Rayo Vallecano. It is has been well-known this season that David Moyes is looking at replacing the outgoing and aging Patrice Evra at left-back. He failed with a bid in the summer for Leighton Baines, of Everton, and has been linked with Luke Shaw, of Southampton, all season. It now seems that he’s making advances on Filipe Luis.
