FIFA 17: Predicted player ratings for Juventus

Gianluigi Buffon, Juventus
Buffon is set to see a rise in his FIFA rating after another successful season at Juventus

Midfield:

Juventus have always had a very competent midfield. Although the loss of Paul Pogba could affect them to a certain extent, they have acted quickly to rope in Miralem Pjanic and 21-year-old winger Marco Pjaca.

Marchisio and Khedira are expected to continue their fine work at the heart of the midfield. The club have also stated their interest in signing Alex Witsel from Zenit which would add a major feather to their cap.

Claudio Marchisio: 84 → 85

Claudio Marchisio, Juventus
Marchisio has been Juventus’ workhorse for several years

Marchisio missed a major part of last season due to injury, but his return helped Juventus sure up both ends of the pitch. The heart of the Juventus midfield, he is considered to be the Sergio Busquets of the Italian League.

The unsung hero of the side, Marchisio is set to have even more responsibility with the departure of Pogba and will be looking forward to the challenge. His tactical awareness and positioning is second to none and his rating is set to rise slightly.

Roberto Pereyra: 81→79

Roberto Pereyra did not feature much for Juventus in the 2015/16 season after succumbing to injury.

Although a highly qualified player possessing significant pace and outstanding dribbling abilities, he made just 10 appearances in the Serie-A last time around and the arrival of Miralem Pjanic is set to further limit his time in the first team. His rating should drop by about a point or two.

Miralem Pjanic: 84→85

Miralem Pjanic, Juventus
Pjanic will replace Pogba in Juventus’ midfield

Pjanic was a highly instrumental figure in Roma’s midfield. The Bosnian managed 12 goals and 13 assists last campaign and was the only Roma player to reach double figures in both categories.

After signing for Juventus for €32m, Pjanic is expected to slot straight into the side and play a major role in their title defence. One of the best free-kick takers in the league, Pjanic's rating is expected to rise by a point after his phenomenal season.

Mario Lemina: 76 → 77

Mario Lemina did not play a major role last season due to injury but performed admirably when he did manage to play. Another prospect for the future, Lemina is expected to get more playing time this time around in place of an ageing Sami Khedira.

He was impressive in Juventus' International Champions Cup match against Spurs in pre-season. With the future ahead of him, his rating is expected to increase by a point at best.

Sami Khedira: 83 → 83

The German was another player who found his time limited due to injuries. Although he did have a problem fitting into Juventus’ system last season, he found his feet later on in the campaign. Khedira’s consistency when fit ensures he will continue to be an 83 rated midfielder come the new campaign.

Marko Pjaca: NA → 77

Marco Pjaca signed for Juventus from Dinamo Zagreb for €23m. With the ability to play off both flanks, the pacy Croatian is set to provide width and dynamism to the Juventus team.

The 21-year-old wasn't a part of the FIFA franchise in 2016 but is set to make his FIFA debut in the new edition, probably at around 77.
