FInancial crisis impels Hamburg to exclude five players from practice

West Bromwich Albion v Queens Park Rangers - Barclays Premier League

Paul Scharner

Bundesliga club Hamburg have excluded five players from their training sessions after the club got mired in financial difficulties.

They are looking to attract prospective buyers for the players. The notable players excluded from the squad are ex-Premier League players Michael Mancienne and Paul Scharner.

Ex-Wigan player Scharner had a great five year stint with the Premier League side, but he is not eager to come back to England anymore despite offers from Hull City Tigers and Everton.

Mancienne, during his five-year spell at Chelsea, played for both QPR and Wolverhampton on loan.

The ex-Chelsea man has offers from Turkey and France and also from Stoke and Reading.
