James might not return to Madrid despite Zidane's takeover

The Colombian international has been on loan with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich since 2017 and he has tried to revive his career at the Allianz Arena. He has done so to an extent, though there is a need for consistency if he wishes to regain his place in the playing eleven at the Bernabeu.

The competition in Madrid exceeds what he is facing at Bayern, due to which he has been away from the club under Zidane and his successors. With that being said, there seems to be very little scope for him to make a return to Spain. He might prefer to either stay with the German giants or move to the Premier League, where he will be offered a regular first-team place.

He has been wanted by a host of top clubs across Europe and the likes of Arsenal have shown their interest in his services. Only time will tell which clubs he joins, though his future with Real is more or less over.
