5 players who performed memorably in the 2017-18 EPL season

A hearty congratulations to Manchester City on winning the Premier League title by displaying top-class football! Guardiola's men were ruthless throughout the 2017-18 season, amassing a record 100 points from 38 games- a league first.

The 106 goals they have scored is an evidence of their domination over the nineteen other clubs in the league.

As usual we have witnessed several breathtaking finishes, decisive passes and of course brilliant saves over the last ten months in English football .

Some players have really stood out from the rest, be it in the number of goals, assists and trophies and have been exceptional throughout the season. Let us now look at five players who had a memorable 2017-18 Premier League season.

Harry Kane, the 2014-15 PFA Young Player of the Year carried his Golden boot winning performance into this season aswell, as he ended the 2017-18 season with 30 league goals in 35 appearances. T

The Center forward who loves to play long balls and dribble, has been clinical in finishing and long shots this season. Kane scored consecutive hat-tricks in December 2017, against Burnley (home) and Southampton (away) and scored a brace in six games this season.

In Spurs' final game of the season and the final 'home' game at Wembley (Spurs will move to their new home next season), Kane scored a brace and most importantly 'the winner' to secure a Spurs win against the 2015-16 champions, Leicester City.

Kane inspired the Spurs to a third place finish this season with 77 points which ensured them a UEFA Champions League spot, to wrap up another memorable season.

#4 Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)

Kevin De Bruyne played a major role in Manchester City’s dream run in the Premier League this season and was a vital cog in City's midfield.

De Bruyne who joined City in 2015, and has been prolific since Pep Guardiola’s arrival and has inevitably been in the Spaniard’s plans ever since.

The creative force of David Silva, De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling was quite easily one of the important aspect behind City's surge this season.

The Belgian who loves to cross and cut inside, was prolific in long shots, through balls and taking set-pieces.

During City's 5-1 victory over Leicester City at home back in February, he provided three sensational assists.

De Bruyne, who won eight Man of the match awards this season walked away with the 'Playmaker' award which was presented for the very first time for his mammoth 16 assists in 36 games in the 2017-18 season.

#3 David de Gea (Manchester United)

The Spanish start-stopper has been a pivotal member of the Manchester United squad and has gone onto become one of the world's best since joining them in 2011.

With a record 18 clean sheets in 37 League appearances for Manchester United in the 2017-18 season, the former Atletico Madrid star won the Premier League Golden Glove for his brilliant work in front of the goal.

In the game against Arsenal at the Emirates back in December 2017, de Gea made a staggering 14 saves, thereby matching the Premier League record for most saves in a single fixture.

His heroics earned United a crucial 3-1 win over Wenger's men. All credits to de Gea, who has been inspirational in United's runner-up finish in the 2017-18 season.

#2 Leroy Sane (Manchester City)

The Winger who arrived at Manchester City in August 2016 has been a mainstay in Guardiola's squad. The talented German's rise has been meteoric in the last two seasons, since making his Premier League debut in the ' Manchester derby' on September 10, 2016.

The former Schalke man was deployed in various positions throughout the dream 2017-18 season.

Sane who loves dribbling, doing layoffs and short passes played as a forward, defensive and attacking midfielder for Guardiola's men this season.

In 27 Premier League appearances, the 22 year-old scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists.The three-time Man of the match award winner was voted as the Premier League Player of the month for October.

His astonishing stats won him the PFA Young Player of the Year award beating out Harry Kane and his fellow teammates; Raheem Sterling and Ederson Moraes. Sane undoubtedly took this season by storm with his excellent game.

#1 Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

The Egyptian King arrived at the Anfield this summer from AS Roma amidst much expectations. He donned the roles of Right forward, Centre forward, Right attacking midfielder and Centre attacking midfielder for Liverpool this season.

Salah, who loves counter attacking and playing short passes was clinical in his finishing, dribbling and through balls.

The glory continued for the 'signing of this season' as he won the PFA Player of the year award and the Premier League Golden boot for his staggering 32 goals in 32 appearances for the Reds.

His best-ever performance came in Liverpool’s 5-0 victory over Watford at Anfield in March when he scored four, becoming the first Liverpool player since Luis Suarez (in 2013) to score four goals in a Premier League game.

By breaking numerous records on almost every match-day, his first season at Anfield was nothing short of sensational!
