10 of the best GIFs of the 2013/14 season

Yet another season has come to an end, and this is probably the perfect time to summarise the whole season using GIFs, and just GIFs.And, no. Not all of them are about Steven Gerrard slipping, and giving away the Premier League title. Here are ten of the best GIFs of the season:

#1 Kolo and Giaccherini feel the love

Sometimes it is important to take notice of all the small things that is happening around you and enjoy them, and Kolo Toure and Emanuele Giaccherini did just that during Liverpool’s 3-1 away win against Sunderland this season.

A better love story than Twilight?

#2 Summarizing the Premier League title race in one GIF

One of the funniest GIFs I have come across this season. In case you are looking for origin of this gif, watch the video here.

Watch out for Meanuel Pellegrini’s cheeky grin.

#3 Podolski chasing Arsene Wenger with champagne

Winning a trophy after 9 trophyless season calls for some celebration, and this GIF will just lighten up all the Arsenal fans and neutrals alike.

One question though: Can 29-year-old Per Mertesacker out-run Arsene Wenger?

#4 Cristiano Ronaldo 1-0 Sepp Blatter

After being called a ‘commander’ by FIFA President Sepp Blatter, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo came up with a cheeky celebration after scoring a penalty during Real Madrid’s 7-3 victory over Sevilla.

The celebration was followed by Blatter apologising to Ronaldo on Twitter saying, ‘I never meant to offend you.’

#5 A blind supporter offering the linesman his stick

A partially-blind man mocking the blindsman.

It was during Everton’s 3-1 win over Fulham at the Craven Cottage, and the fan seems to be complaining for an offside call.

#6 Run Gareth, run!

Gareth Bale’s electrifying run against Barcelona was one of the most iconic moments this season for two reasons: it was the winner that secured Real Madrid their Copa del Rey trophy, and because it was against Barcelona.

Too many emotions in one goal.

#7 What are you doing, Pep?

A rub-down during a match is always appreciated, but not this way.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola crouched behind Franck Ribery who looked tired, and gave him the much-needed massage during the German Cup Final.

#8 Intense skills from Edinson Cavani

Somehow I have always loved Ligue 1 replays, and this goal and the way it was scored just leaves me in awe.

It is like watching 300.

#9 Alexis Sanchez and the goalpost share a private moment

Barcelona players have been caught on camera doing things they would regret doing, but not Alexis Sanchez, as he takes full joy while caressing the goal post during Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Sevilla.

#10 This was just too funny to leave out!

I know. I know. This GIF has been over-used by now, but nonetheless, it finds a place in our list.
