Football Manager 2014 predicts 2014-15 Premier League winner

Sports Interactive’s Football Manager 2014 video game has predicted the outcome of the 2014/15 Premier League season after compiling results from 200 simultions runs. Using the updated transfer database (accurate as of 11th August, 2014), Football Manager’s most popular You Tube content creator Statistical Approach decided to interpret his results based on 200 Premier League simulation runs.

The overall results from the experiment are as follows:

The results clearly reflect the fact that Football Manager 2014 simulations expects Manchester City to defend their Premier League title in the upcoming season. This comes as a surprise for a lot football fans as Chelsea are considered to be clear favourites to win the title by the bookmakers ahead of the new season while Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United are tipped to finish 3rd behind their city rivals.
