Juan Sebastian Veron calls it a day. Former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has retired from professional football bringing his 20-year-long illustrious career to an end. Aged 39, Veron has hung up his boots while playing for Estudiantes, the club where he had started his career back in 1993. Following a small stint at Boca Juniors, Veron moved to Italy where he won the Scudetto with Inter and Lazio, and a UEFA Cup with Parma. His spell in England was not a great success as he had trouble adapting to the faster pace of the Premier League. He returned to Estudiantes in 2006.
