The 6"3' acrobatic German goalkeeper completed his move to Arsenal in a big-money move amounting to the extent of £22.50 million and penned a 5-year contract with the North London outfit. Bend Leno has a massive experience of playing in the Bundesliga as the statistics of 300 appearances for the German outfits VfB Stuttgart and Bayer 04 Leverkusen reflects it.

It came out as a first high profile signing by new Arsenal boss, Unai Emery, who uplifted managerial responsibilities for the London club to replace Arsene Wenger.

The product of Stuttgart academy holds the record of being the youngest goalkeeper to feature in a Champions League when he played for Leverkusen against Chelsea in 2011 at just 19 years and 193 days old.

Despite very convincing displays for Bayer Leverkusen in the recent years, the 26-year-old shot-stopper has been left out of Arsenal's starting lineup as Petr Čech was chosen in position at goal by the boss, Unai Emery and as a result, Bernd Leno still waits for his Arsenal debut.
