Talking of the fortunate have-nots, Newcastle produced another class act to thrash Crystal Palace by a 3-0 margin at Selhurst Park. But the talking point till Sunday would be on two men: Tim Sherwood and Emanuel Adebayor. Spurs, under a new era, beat a well oiled Southampton side by a 3-2 scoreline as Togolese Adebayor came out of the wilderness to score a brace and the winning goal against the Saints.

For Mauricio Pochettino though, the current slide in form would be more than just worrying.
