French midfielder N'Diaye joins Sunderland

London, Jan 10 (IANS): French midfielder Alfred N’Diaye joined Sunderland from Turkish side Bursaspor, the English Premier League side announced.

N’Diaye, 22, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the north-east club for an undisclosed fee, reports Xinhua. He moved to Turkey from French outfit Nancy in 2011.

“Alfred is a strong, powerful young player and as such can offer us more strength in depth,” said Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill.

“He will give us options and I’m delighted that we have been able to bring him to the club.”
