Fulham have completed the signing of Scott Parker from London rivals Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder became Fulham’s eighth summer signing, as he signed a deal which sees him at Craven Cottage for 3 years.
Parker, 32, was no longer guaranteed first team football at White Hart Lane following the signings of Paulinho and Etienne Capoue in central midfield by Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas.
“He’s a midfielder who works tirelessly for his team and is a fantastic player both on and off the ball,” said Fulham manager Martin Jol.
Tottenham had also agreed a fee with Championship side Queens Park Rangers, but Parker preferred to stay in the Premier League as he looks to get into Roy Hodgson’s England squad for next year’s FIFA World Cup.
“I’m delighted to be joining Fulham and I’m looking forward to meeting my new team-mates at training on Tuesday morning,” said Parker, who has won 18 caps for England since making his debut in 2003.
“Fulham are an established Premier League club and I look forward to trying to help the team progress even further over the next three years.”
The move sees Scott Parker represent a fifth London club, after spells at West Ham United, Charlton Athletic and Chelsea.
