Turkish champions Galatasaray’s chairman Unal Aysal has welcomed Premier League side Chelsea to bid for their star striker Burak Yilmaz and that he wouln’t stand in the player’s way if he decides to join the London outfit.

Aysal spoke at an annual conference held and Stamford Bridge and said, “If he wants to go and Chelsea are interested, then why not. I am always in favour of Turkish players going to the top clubs in Europe.

“There was a request from Lazio at the end of the summer but the deal was not done because the conditions were not met,” said the club’s chairman.

The Turkish national striker has scored 32 times for his club in 39 appearances and is said be valued at £25 million.
