Fantasy Premier League 2018-19: 3 Players to consider for the coming week

Jiménez produced a tidy finish against Liverpool as Wolves put Liverpool out of the FA Cup

#1 Raul Jiménez – Forward (£6.4m)

Goals: 6

Assists: 6

Season Points: 93

Upcoming fixtures: MCI (A), LEI (H), WHAM (H)

Jiménez does have a tough game in GW22 as Wolves travel to City but after scoring against Spurs and picking up all 3 bonus points, as well as against Liverpool on Monday, you can’t rule out him scoring against a City side who have conceded in their last 7 games! From a value perspective it might be good to jump on now before a nice run of fixtures between GW23 and GW29.

Jiménez is 4th for Forwards for bonus points this season (14) and a large part of this is down to his accuracy with 23 of his 62 shots have been on target. In terms of the ‘eye-test’ he’s a great player to watch with his hold up play and movement and is a massive part of Wolves brilliant performances this season.

The Palace right back is 2nd for tackles in the league this year and is a bargain at £4.5m

#2 Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Defender (£4.5m)

Clean Sheets: 8

Goals: 0

Assists: 1

Season Points: 73

Upcoming fixtures: WAT (H), LIV (A), SOU (A)

Those in the know will already have the palace golden boy in their backline. If you don’t, you should! He’s been in my side since GW1 this year and has been excellent for me. He’s on a nice little run of form with 3 clean sheets in his last 5 and has picked up 2 bonus points along the way. He’s joint 5th for bonus points for defenders this season with 11 largely down to his defensive ability. He’s made 72 tackles this season (joint 2nd in the PL) alongside 51 interceptions (3rd) and has only committed 13 fouls (joint 127th!) meaning he’s only picked up 1 yellow card.

At £4.5m with a nice run of fixtures, only 2 of last seasons top 4 in their next 9 games (Liverpool GW23 and United GW28) it’s a good time to get a budget defender into your squad.

He's a 'Rolls Royce' of a player in my eyes... and he's in great form!

#3 Christian Eriksen – Midfielder (£9.3m)

Goals: 4

Assists: 7

Season Points: 81

Upcoming fixtures: MUN (H), FUL (A), WAT (H)

This lad is an absolute Rolls Royce of a player. His creativity is outstanding and is back on the table as a major fantasy asset. He’s returned 4 goals and 1 assist in his last 5 games for Spurs.

With Son going to the AFC Asian Cup it may push Eriksen slightly further forward and increase his fantasy potential even more. He’s joint 3rd in FPL for assists this season and has an xA90 of 0.25 (Joint 11th in the league for players with over 900 minutes played) alongside scoring with 4 of his 13 shots on target - #Deadeye!
