In an all Catalan affair, Barcelona travels to Girona on Sunday as they look to increase their lead back to 5 points. Atletico Madrid won their match against Getafe on Saturday to cut the lead to just two points.

Girona is winless in their last nine matches. Girona is 12th in the table with 24 points and a win against the Blaugrana could see them break into the top half of the table.

After a very disappointing 2-0 away loss at Seville in the first leg of the Copa del Rey fixture, the Blaugrana will be hoping to continue the winning league run. The Catalan giants are phenomenal in LaLiga this season, particularly in the past few weeks.

The last meeting between the to Catalan clubs ended with Barcelona coming from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou. The Blaugrana finished with 10 men after Clement Lenglet was given the marching orders in the first half.

Girona will be buoyed by the return of their top scorer and Uruguayan striker Christian Stuani from suspension. Johan Mojica, Aday and Carles Planas are still out injured for Eusebio Sacristan.

Barcelona

Ernesto Valverde has named a strong 19-man squad. After being rested in the first leg of the Copa del Rey fixture away at Seville, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets are set to return for the Catalan giants. Denis Suarez is also named in the squad. Ousmane Dembele, Samuel Umtiti, and Rafinha are still out injured for the Catalan giants.
