Manchester United came from behind to defeat Hull on Boxing Day in an entertaining opener to the festive day of football.

Hull had raced into an early two goal lead through former United youngster James Chester and a Jonny Evans own goal, before the champions hit back through Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney’s 150th goal for the club and an own goal from James Chester, as he endured a mixed day as he faced his boyhood club.

Allan McGregor (-24) – Clattered early on by Ashley Young and made just the one save, while conceding two, though he can hardly be blamed for either.

James Chester (26) Scored and had a shot saved, but also scored an own goal and won just one of his two attempted tackles.

Alex Bruce (13) Unfortunate to only hit the bar with one of two attempts on goal, while he made five successful clearances. Will be disappointed to have won only three of six tackles he went for.
