After the Manchester Derby defeat to cross-city rivals Manchester City, a section of Manchester United fans took it upon themselves to charter a small airplane and fly a “Moyes Out” banner over Old Trafford during the next game against Aston Villa.
Although many fans laughed it off, it looks like this may indeed happen as ITV leaked an image of the banner that will be flown. Once dubbed ‘The Chosen One’ by the Old Trafford faithful after Sir Alex Ferguson picked David Moyes to succeed him, the banner now reads “Wrong One – Moyes Out”.
It was learned that fans raised £840 to fund the plane to fly over Old Trafford with the banner trailing behind it.
