Branko ?ulina: Eyeing India

There seems to be another rumour doing the round in Indian football about a foreigner coaching a reputed club. Yes this time, its Mohun Bagan who are said to be interested in signing Branco Cullina, to coach the Kolkata Giants.

An unconfirmed report has it that, the Green and the Maroons are in talks with the Newcastle United Jet’s Coach and are yet to sign a contract as the clubs officials are weighing down some other options.

However, there is also a report which says Newcastle Jets new billionaire owner have sign a multi-year contract with the Yugoslavian and have also asked to bring his son, Jason Culina (ex-PSV and current Socceroo) to the club.

The Yugoslavia born Coach has his share of more than 20 years work experience in Australia, where he has worked with major A-League sides like Sydney FC, Melbourne Knights etc. He was named as the manager of Newcastle United Jets FC from the start of the A-League 2009-10 season and given a two year contract. Whether his contract has been extended is not known.

He was previously working for the Jets as the Technical Director. Despite initial poor results, Branko is said to have deployed an attractive brand of football for which he is popular.

With no official confirmation from either Mohun Bagan or the man in question himself, it will be a wait and watch game until some official announcements is made.
