When Carlos Calvo was given start by Cesar Ferrando many eyebrows were raised. Given that Michael Soosairaj produced a stellar performance in their last match, it was almost impossible to think he will not get a start.

But Calvo didn’t take much time to prove his doubters wrong. He started making an impact immediately. His darting run through the line and cutting inside the box was lethal and Reagan Singh had to endure a tough time in keeping Calvo under check.

Calvo hit the crossbar immediately after his team conceded a goal. He tried to make an impact every time he got the ball on his feet.

He had to suffer deadly fouls from Jose Leudo and Mato Grgic. But nothing could stop him. His combination with Ogbeche caused headaches for NorthEast United FC defenders.

It looks Jamshedpur have a perfect replacement for Soosairaj. Calvo was substituted later on in the second half, but by then he already earned respects from the opposition.
