Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has backed teammate Joe Hart to bounce back after the keeper made a string of mistakes against Bayern Munich in midweek.
Hart came under the scanner after City’s losses against Aston Villa and Bayern Munich but Lescott believes that there is no concern in the team about Hart’s ability.
“We never doubted Joe and were never concerned with his form or ability. Joe’s a strong enough man. He can deal with anything that’s put on his shoulders,” Lescott told BT Sport 1.
Lescott was speaking after City’s 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday and said that the team showed great character to come back after going a goal down.
“We went behind but showed great character to get back into the game and dominate from then on. I felt we had a few more chances in the first half and maybe we could have done better, but we (showed) our desire and commitment to the game throughout 90 minutes,” he said.
