#3 Sassuolo create history

Sassuolo entered the game against Juventus without expecting to pick up all three points. That's because they had never beaten Juventus away from home in eight previous attempts.

In fact, the Neroverdi had beaten the Turin giants just once in 16 clashes against them, a narrow 1-0 victory in Emilia-Romagna back in October 2015.

So the odds were stacked firmly against them, but that didn't deter Alessio Dionisi's side from going all out at their mighty hosts. Their persistent efforts paid off towards the end of the first half. They weren't to be cowed down by McKennie's equaliser either, fighting on to find a late winner.

#2 Juventus were completely exposed on the break by Lopez

How Juventus conceded their second goal was truly comical yet shocking at the same time. Maxime Lopez had acres of space ahead of him to run into. He made no mistake, rounding off a fine counter-attack with an equally excellent lob over Mattia Perin.

The fact that McKennie was the only player in the Juventus half during that moment was ridiculous. Where was their backline? Not sure, but none of them were anywhere near Lopez, who comfortably made his way into the penalty area to finish the job.

It was an absolutely embarrassing defending sequence that exposed plenty of flaws that exist in the side, and not that it wasn't coming. Sassuolo had also found holes in Juventus' backline earlier in the game. Their winner was just reward for their efforts.

#1 Juventus nowhere near Scudetto material

Another season without the Scudetto?

The arrival of Massimiliano Allegri was expected to signal Juventus' renaissance from the ashes of last season. Their decade-long hegemony had ended in limp fashion under Andrea Pirlo.

Instead, the Italian's second term in charge of the club is becoming a nightmare. The Bianconeri are in a rut, struggling with patchy form and disappointing results.

Tonight was their third loss of the season in ten games, the most they've suffered at this stage of the season since 2015-16. Meanwhile, none of their four wins of the campaign have been impressive.

They now trail runaway leaders AC Milan by a massive 13 points, with Napoli also likely to open up an identical lead after their game tomorrow. That would leave Juventus with a huge early-season deficit to recover from. They nowhere look like title contenders at the moment.
