Turkish midfielder Arda Turan recently spoke to Turkish radio station Radyospor about his objectives and future plans for his career. The midfielder stated that his objective is “to win all the titles with Barcelona.”

The midfielder also explained that he is motivated by winning the Champions League more than anything. “It's the only trophy that I’m lacking in my career,” said the former Atletico Madrid midfielder.

While his club F.C Barcelona have been a bit shaky in the past few weeks, one of their best players on the pitch has been Arda Turan. Turan seems to be in the best form of his life since joining Barcelona.

The Turk has stepped up and put in a commendable effort to replace Lionel Messi, however, the Barcelona team simply seem to lack that cutting edge in their last four games.

Speaking about his team, Turan said that he thinks it's something special to play for Barcelona because they’re the best team in the world. He also clarified that he doesn’t mind missing a few minutes and is happy with his playing time.

“To play one minute in this team is already important, I’ll do [whats asked] without problems,” said Arda. “My objective is to end my sporting career with Barcelona,” he added while denying rumours that he could’ve left in the summer.

Arda also spoke about his friends in the Barcelona team stating that he has “a great friendship with Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, who I would like to take to Istanbul to play in a charity match”.

In a previous interview, with Catalan outlet Diari Ara, Arda Turan had also revealed that he is glad he shared a good relationship with his idol Andres Iniesta while Adriano who is now plying his trade in Turkey with champions Besiktas is also a close friend of his.

The Turkish midfielder is currently not part of Fatih Terim’s squad for the game against Ukraine, clarified Turan. However, he also added that “If the coach calls me up, I'll be there; There are only two days until the game against Ukraine, though. The only thing I want is for my team-mates to have luck in this game and I hope they win.”

Turkey is currently tired with all of the five other teams in their group for the World Cup 2018 Qualification with a point each. However, they are placed 3 on goal difference right below Iceland and Kosovo.
