Barca plot stunning swoop for Pogba

According to reports in Tuttosport, Paul Pogba recently met with Barcelona's technical director Eric Abidal to discuss a move to Spain. Pogba has grown frustrated with his role at Manchester United under Jose Mourinho and is said to be looking for a move away despite being contracted to the club until 2021.

According to the report, Pogba has already held talks with Barcelona regarding a move this summer.

Barcelona target Simon Mignolet

In what would be quite a surprising move, Barcelona have expressed their interest in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. According to Sky, the Catalan giants are looking to bring in a backup to first-choice keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen with Jasper Cillessen set to leave the club imminently.

The arrival of Alisson at Liverpool means Mignolet is set to be the third choice keeper and as a result is seeking a move away. Besiktas are the only other club that remains interested in Mignolet and Barcelona should be able to force through a deal in the coming days.

Lucas Digne completes Everton switch

Everton today announced that they had completed the signing of Barcelona left-back Lucas Digne for £18m plus add-ons. Digne has signed a five-year deal with the Premier League side. “Everton is a big club with a great history. I want to play games, win games and excite the fans with the quality of our football.

“I want to show my best football here and discover the best league in the world. Everybody loves the Premier League. I am loving the fact I am coming here. I am not afraid, I am excited. For me, it is a new challenge to discover a country, a league, people and a great club such as Everton. It is fabulous,” he announced.

Everton and Leicester are set to do battle for the signing of Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer according to Calcio Mercato.
