PSG sporting director confirms they are in advanced talks to sell Neymar

Will Neymar be a Real Madrid player next season?

Neymar will not appear for Paris Saint-Germain in their season opener against Nimes. The PSG Sporting Director Leonardo Araujo has confirmed that Neymar will be left out of the squad for PSG's first game of the season.

He has also confirmed that they are in advanced talks for the sale of Neymar. He said,

"Neymar's negotiations for the sale are more advanced than before."

That Neymar wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain has been no secret. However, PSG were yet to confirm the same owing to a lack of initiative on the part of potential buyers. The Neymar situation is being closely watched by eternal rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.

While neither clubs are not in a position to match Neymar's price tag solely in cash, both of them have been trying to put together a swap deal involving 2 players and cash for the Brazilian.

However, Real Madrid share a better relationship with PSG than their Catalonian counterparts and Leonardo's latest revelation could be an indication that Neymar's potential move to Real Madrid could very well happen this summer.
