Daniel Sturridge made 18 appearances in the 2018-19 Premier League season and managed to score 2 goals and get 1 assist over the course of the tournament. In the 7 matches he played in the Champions League, Sturridge managed just 1 goal and 1 assist.
Injuries and inconsistent form have played a decisive part in Sturridge's horrid season and it may well be time to make a permanent move elsewhere. Liverpool definitely needs better and fitter strikers on the bench in case there are injuries to the regular starters. Jurgen Klopp might also make use of impact substitutes in many of his games and Daniel Sturridge does not seem to fit this role.
